Steff Groefsema

Steff is a PhD student researching Ethical Uncertainty in Medical AI at the Department of Artificial Intelligence within the Bernoulli Institute, part of the University of Groningen, in collaboration with the University Medical Center Groningen. His interdisciplinary research focuses on how uncertainty estimation methods can provide additional insight into potential performance issues of AI models within clinical workflows. The ultimate goal is to make AI systems in healthcare safer, more transparent, and more reliable in practice.
